Budget Committee |

The Budget Committee shall be made up of the
Stewardship and Finance Committee and the Moderators of each ministry
area and the Personnel Committee. The Pastor shall serve as an
ex officio member. |

Worship Ministry is responsible for:
All details pertaining to the worship
services including:
paraments, banners,
decorations, supplies-candles, flowers
(especially Christmas and
Easter)
Secure elders and deacons to serve
Communion.
Secure pulpit supply in Pastor's absence,
In consultation
with the pastor, create alternative and special
worship
opportunities for the congregation and community.
Secure acolytes and lay leaders for each
service.
Consult with music staff regarding plans and
needs. |

Nurture Ministry is responsible for:
Church School, including selection of materials used.
Operate "God's Kids" program.
Securing Teachers and Teacher Training.
Youth Fellowship groups.
Special studies.
promote Camps and Conferences.
Study groups.
Organize Special Church School and Youth programs,
presentation,
and worship services.
Teacher Appreciation and Graduate recognition. |

Mission and Evangelism
Ministry is responsible for:
The Mission budget and Mission projects to
support.
Special Offerings to be received for mission
causes.
Publicizing the mission efforts of the church.
Develop "hands on" mission projects and outreach
programs.
Hunger Barrel, Souper Bowl Sunday, Blanket
drive, etc.
Church publicity - newspaper ad, radio
announcements, etc.
Promotes "Every member is an evangelist"
approach
Follow - up with visitors. |

Stewardship and Finance is responsible for:
Challenging and educating the congregation to
become good
stewards of all
resources.
Promoting giving of time, talents, and
treasures.
Conducting Annual Stewardship Fund Drive
Maintaining and reviewing church financial
reports and records.
Reviewing insurance needs in consultation with
other areas.
Organizing and participating in the Budget
Committee as it
determines the
Annual Budget. |

Buildings and Grounds is responsible for:
Monthly inspection of building, noting areas in
need of repairs.
Receiving reports of damaged or broken equipment.
Making arrangements for repairs as needed.
Maintaining heating, air conditioning, plumbing,
and electrical
systems.
Developing a Master Plan for building
improvements.
Consulting with custodian concerning building
needs.
Developing and maintaining a guide for use of the
building.
Approving all requests for use of the facility. |

Personnel Committee is responsible for:
Establishing and maintaining Position
Descriptions for each staff
member.
Encouraging professional effectiveness and
growth by meeting
with each staff
member to set goals and objectives.
Conducting annual staff reviews.
Recommending salary and compensation packages
for staff
members.
Provide readily available support for the pastor
and other staff in
times of triumph or
trouble, in dealing with problems, personal or
professional, and in
the urgent, but often overlooked, province of
keeping the pastor from
feeling isolated.
Conducting background checks on all staff
regarding conviction of
child abuse or sexual
misconduct.
